North Park Main Street is supported by a volunteer Board of Directors. There are four volunteer committees that work together with the staff of NPMS to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort. All committee meetings are open to the public – if you are interested in getting involved, please feel free to join us!
NORTH PARK MAIN STREET BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION 2020

Board of Directors
Section 1. GOVERNMENT.
The affairs of the corporation shall be conducted by the Board of Directors.
Section 2. NUMBER OF DIRECTORS.
The Board of Directors shall consist of up to fifteen (15) but not less than nine (9) directors (per board action dated September 15, 1995). The immediate past president shall be a member of the Board of Directors. The criteria for the Directors shall be as follows:
- Eight (8) Directors shall be representatives of property owners paying the North Park Property and Business Improvement District assessment:
- One (1) Director shall be a person who resides in the North Park Property and Business Improvement District but does not own any interest in or work for any business that is subject to the parcel assessment;
- Five (5) Directors shall be representatives of business owners paying the North Park Business Improvement District assessment;
- One (1) Director shall be a representative of and Associate BID member
The Board of Directors meetings are held on a as needed basis. Day and time may vary.
Maintenance and Beautification
This committee addresses issues of aesthetics in the built area and streetscapes of the North Park Property and Business District and the North Park Business Improvement District. Topics / projects addressed in this committee include enhancements to services and facilities as well as beautification projects, public art, wayfinding signage, street furniture, trees, sidewalks, and special projects.
The Maintenance and Beautification Committee meets every other month on the last Friday of the month at 10:00 AM at the North Park Main Street Office – 3939 Iowa Street, Suite 2, San Diego, CA 92104

Promotions and Marketing
The Promotions and Marketing Committee works to create an effective promotional strategy for North Park to forge a positive image through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events, and marketing campaigns. These activities improve consumer and investor confidence in the district and encourage commercial activity and tourism.

This committee focuses on the planning and production of North Park Main Street Events.
The Events Committee meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM at the North Park Main Street Office – 3939 Iowa Street, Suite 2, San Diego, CA 92104
Transportation & Mobility
This committee addresses issues related to transportation and mobility in North Park such as parking, walkable streetscapes, and alternative transportation modes.
The Transportation & Mobility Committee meets every other month on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 5:30 PM at the North Park Main Street Office – 3939 Iowa Street, Suite 2 , San Diego, CA 92104

The Executive Committee is made up of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and North Park Main Street Staff.
The Executive Committee meets on the Friday prior to the Board of Directors Meeting each month at 12 Noon at the North Park Main Street Office – 3939 Iowa Street, Suite 2 , San Diego, CA 92104 (subject to change)
