Resturant Owners: Farmers are having a hard time right now, and restaurants have the power to support them and restore the climate.
Zero Foodprint, a James Beard award-winning nonprofit, is inviting San Diego restaurants to join their upcoming campaign, Unfork the Planet, running from April 7-13. This initiative supports local farmers by funding their transition to regenerative practices.
Participating restaurants can join for a low $75 fee, which goes directly into the grant fund. They can either feature a climate-smart dish for the week or pledge $1 per an existing menu item. All participating restaurants will be featured on an interactive map and promoted on social media.
Many San Diego businesses have already joined: 31ThirtyOne, Herb & Wood, Herb & Sea, The Fishery, Finca, Wayfarer Bread, Dija Mara, Bivouac, Kingfisher and counting. Zero Foodprint is looking to grow the list!
