Apply for an ABC Temporary Catering Authorization

If you currently hold an ABC permit and plan to serve alcohol in your expanded sidewalk café or in the parking lanes as part of your Temporary Outdoor Business Permit, you must obtain a Temporary Catering Authorization.

How to Apply

1. Visit the California Department of Alcoholic and Beverage Control and fill out the Temporary Catering Authorization Application (Form ABC-218 CV19). You can find detailed instructions about this form here.
2. You must also submit a Supplemental Diagram (Form ABC-253) which can be found here.
3. Mail the completed forms along with the $100 application fee to the San Diego Alcohol Beverage Control office.
