North Park Main Street

Reporting Vanadlism

Posted on April 11, 2018

Graffiti on privately owned buildings is on the rise in North Park. The NPPBID only has the authority to remove graffiti that is in the public right of way. We encourage business and property owners to report graffiti, and other acts of vandalism and crime via the Citizens Online Police Reporting System.

Visit: https://www.sandiego.gov/police/crimereports/startaccess

Fill out the questionnaire and you will be guided to the secure police report filing website. Note that crime where damage is in excess of $5000, or where you are in possession of evidence must be reported to the police directly by calling 619-531-2000.

You can also inform our Mid-City Community Relations Officer so that resources can be allocated to problem areas in the District:

Mid-City Division 810’s Community Relations Officer

Desk # (619) 516-3009

Property and business owners are encouraged to file a letter of agency with the police department. This letter allows SDPD to enforce vagrancy and vandalism laws on private property.
