The entertainment again captivated people, and yet
again the Sycuan Dance Stage (organized by Stage 7 School of Dance)
captured people all day long. Once again it presented a
wondrous blend of local dance companies that represented many
different disciplines from ballet, modern, and salsa to capeoiera,
hip hop, and balinese. The Sycuan Dance Stage continues to be
our most phenomenal attraction year after year.
Other stages this year featured unique attractions
as well. The San Diego Artistic Community returned to organize
a stage where painters share space with musicians on stage and the
World Music Stage had musical groups from cultures all over the
world, including Turkish folk music and Balinese Gamelan
music. This year the World Music Stage included the Neolithic
Orchestra, a musical ensemble where the members perform using their
own invented instruments.
The Seventh Annual Spring Festival was an event
that brought people together from all over the county. And
this year showed our dedication to making this event just better and
better every year. We hope to see you there next year, May
15, 2005.
