North Park Main Street: Staff

Angela Landsberg, Executive Director

Angela Landsberg is a native San Diegan and long time North
Park resident. She spent much of her childhood in North Park, and is currently
raising her family here.

Angela earned a BA in Communications from San Diego State
University and a Master’s in Education from National University.  She brings a diverse skill set to North Park
Main Street, including extensive community advocacy, local political work, and
education.  She was Campaign Manager for
(now Senator) Christine Kehoe’s re-election campaign for City Council in 1995,
and  went on to work as a Legislative
Representative in the District 3 City Council office following their successful

Angela shifted her professional focus to education in 1999,
and began a working as a teacher in the San Diego Unified School District,
working for schools in City Heights, Logan Heights, and Point Loma.   Her focus areas included: San Diego History,
English Language Learners, and she was a vocal advocate for program support in
San Diego’s public schools.

Following the birth of her two daughters, Madeline and Sara,
Angela took a break from work to spend time with her children.  During that hiatus, she worked diligently on
restoring, and receiving Mills Act historic designation status for her

Angela is intensely connected to the North Park community,
frequents many of the local businesses, spends time in Bird Park, and is troop
leader for her daughters’ Girl Scout Troop.
She is excited to start this new chapter of her life as the small
business & historic preservation advocate for downtown North Park.

Kevin Clark, Assistant Director

Kevin Clark came to North Park Main Street as an intern from University of California, San Diego’s Urban Studies and Planning Department. After graduating in June 2012 he was hired as a full-time Assistant Director. Mr. Clark holds a degree in Urban Studies and Planning, with a focus on Community and Economic Development. Kevin is currently North Park Main Street’s representative to the Maintenance Assessment District Community Advisory Board.

Before entering college Kevin spent five years in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. Kevin Deployed to Iraq in 2005 and again in 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His personal commendations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding service.

Kevin lives in Golden Hill and spends his free time reading, surfing, playing basketball and exploring San Diego on foot. He is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, volunteers for community events like the North Park Toyland Parade and the North Park Historical Society Car Show.
